Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

The Broker - What It Is

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The execution is the area where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. But inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
