What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
TabTrade — What It Is
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
